Why Write?

I have always wanted to start a blog but haven't had anything I could or wanted to really say to anyone who would stumble upon my blog once it was created. Then the thought occured to me. I don't need to have anything really special to say to anyone. This blog is for me as a writer, this is my canvas and what I want to "paint" is totally up to me and for me. Yes, I would like to write meaningful things to everyone and inspire someone but deep down, this is for me to express myself the best way I can.

Writing, to me, is a necessity. Without it, I would have been locked up a long time ago. I have written fiction stories and shared them, been told that I was doing really well but that wasnt all that I wanted. I want to put my thoughts and feelings on this piece of virtual paper and be able to show the world taht I am taking the chance to open my heart and let people in on something that even my own family has yet to see.

Writing...makes situations easier, clearer, and more beautiful than they seem. When I think about writing, my mind goes back to sitting in front of my grandmother's house in Mexico, on her rocking chairs, under the starry night sky, listening to the wind blow. The smells being so intoxicating and the feelings so overwhelming.

Writing doesn't have to be for anyone, for any reason but i think it should mean something more than nothing. I write because some things should be "said" and their feelings permanent. Like my title says "Life flavored Cheesecake", I want everyone to be able to take a sweet, blissful, bite of mine.
